This is our local wetherspoons . Always fantastic drinks at fantastic prices , good decent food and great deals. Last time we went we had the steak it was of a very good standard.

I've wanted to drop into this particular Wetherspoon pub for some time. It's housed in the building which was the old Classic Cinema, which holds many fond childhood memories for me. I watched Star Wars, E.T., and Moonwalker here! So it's with quite some disappointment that I found a very run of the mill Wetherspoon bar. I thought, or rather hoped, that something more would have been made of the buildings cinematic heritage.
There's a great range of beers, and an extensive food menu. I went for a large mixed grill whilst my dining partner had the scampi. The food was great, no complaints whatsoever.
I had expected to find more seating upstairs. Well, if there is any, I couldn't find a staircase to access it!! For such a large bar there doesn't seem to be that many tables.
Most of the clientele appeared to be enjoying the keenly priced drinks, not that many people were eating. Downsides: I did have to wait a long time to be served at the bar, and they had run out of fish!!
I'm unlikely to rush back, but it's not a bad option for a reliable meal when in the Leigh area. -

Typical wetherspoons pub large,crowded,cheap beer & old alcoholics.
Housed in the old cinema in leigh this place is definitely not one of my favourite places to frequent it's large,crowded & noisy.
Very cheap drinks prices but that's only when you can manage to get to the bar. Personally I'd sooner pay that bit more some where else than queue for up to 40 minutes.
Never tried food but the beer is ok & staff polite, helpful enough etc.

Wetherspoons pub used to be the old cinema. Good value on drinks and lots of choice. Mixed clientele from young to old, children allowed on premises as well. Love the Wetherspoon table order app makes like a lot easier. Food is what you expect at Wetherspoons but always nice. Good offers on during the week for food and a pint.
